Nice to meet you.

I’m Hallie Waugh,

freelance copywriter & editor by day, poet and essayist by night.

It’s my job to find the right words.

I hold a B.A. in English Writing from Oklahoma Christian University and an M.F.A. in Poetry from Seattle Pacific University, where I learned the power and necessity of a well-placed word.

I’ve spent the past 9+ years working as a writer for corporate creative departments, non-profits, and branding agencies, helping businesses of all sizes clarify and communicate their stories.

In my free time, you’ll find me chasing my two boys, starting a dance party, or obsessing over the latest book of poetry.

My poetry and essays have been published by Ekstasis Magazine, The Curator, Fathom, Nations Media, The Windhover, and is forthcoming from New York Quarterly.
